Mindoro Second Day Part 2: Hillside Farm Resort

After lunch on June 19, 2009, the group took off to a much-needed siesta.  Haze and Anne in the bedroom; Karen on the wooden bench; and Age and me on mattresses scattered on the tiled living room floor.  Before I dozed off, I gathered all of the Miguels’ photo albums and browsed through the old photos.  Of course, I was looking for Age in all those pictures.  I can’t stop laughing at her that-was-me-during-high-school poses!  I had to chase her when she pulled a picture out of my hand.  Haha!

We planned on going to the Miguels’ farm and resort at around 4 o’clock that afternoon.  However, some of us got up from our slumber thirty minutes after that!  Tita Lety, who was scheduled to follow us at 5 after her work shift, came in earlier.  We, therefore, came a bit late at the resort; but still early for the night swim.

The resort is located in a nearby town called Magsaysay.  We rode a tricycle from San Jose market to get here.

Praise God for this vacation!Hillside

We went straight to the farm part located behind the resort.  Age’s dad, Tito Carling, is a true-blooded farm expert with bright green thumbs.  It was a beautiful sight.

And then the usual, we had to capture our memories in this beautiful place.  Thank you so  much for the free entrance, food and accommodation!  We feel so blessed!

Isaiah 44:3 says, “For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.”  Know that you are overflowing and blessed, Agape.  Praise God for that!

We seemed not to be over yet with our afternoon nap and so all we can do during this time was to smile (there are many reasons to do so.)

After all the posing and clicking and viewing, we had a beautiful dinner at the long table.  Tita Lety and Tito Carling were with us too.  They usually spend their weekends here.  They should!  They are working so hard.

After a quick rest, we changed into our swimming attires and dipped into the fresh water.  Ahhh… this is what you do after dinner — you relax and allow non-chlorinated water to touch every inch of your tired skin.  Of course, we did not take pictures of us during this time. 😀

After our second round of videoke, we decided to call it a day.  However, Haze was calling … someone else.

Hello. Choppy, chubby ka. Hello hubby“Hello. Choppy ka, chubby ka. Hello hubby…?”

And there you have it.  Our second day of vacation.  It was a full day of being soaked in water.  We slept a little past midnight after joking around and attempting to do a Truth or Dare session.  Who needs a bottle?  We did not need to be pointed at and forced to admit.  Our honest stories are open and held trustingly in each other’s care.

The cool room made us cuddle together — two on the bed and three on the floor.  I can’t thank God enough for this vacation that is halfway done.  I couldn’t wait for my early morning swim.

Day 3 notes are coming up…
